Oxford’s Headington Girls School won six medals from seven finals at the Peterborough Junior Championship regatta this past weekend. Four of the medals were gold, one silver and one bronze. Their four medals put them ahead of Richmond’s Lady Eleanor Hollies, whose crews won three gold medals and two bronze in five finals.
Headington crews secured wins in the double, quad and octuple in the 14 age group, and the octuple in the 13 age group. Lady Eleanor Hollies had success in the octuple and the quad novice in the 15 age group, and the octuple novice in the 14 age group.
On the boys side, Bedford School dominated the regatta, winning nine medals from 12 finals, three gold, four silver and two bronze. Bedford’s three wins came in the novice quad and octuple boats in the 15 age group, and the octuple in the 14 age group.
